Administrative Associate
Division/Department: Capital Markets / Brand and Communication Support
FLSA Status: Exempt
Salary Range: $36,000
Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Managing Director
Territory/Location: Greensboro / Winston-Salem (Triad), NC / Home office with flexible meeting space
Position Summary: Wharton Gladden is currently seeking a highly motivated, mature professional to serve as an Associate. The Associate is responsible for supporting business development and marketing initiatives for the firm, including (but not limited to) calendar management, data entry and social media management. Additionally, the Associate supports the Power of One Fund and serves the Fund members and community partners.
Essential Functions: The essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
– Customer service
– Event photography
– Supervise data entry and integrity
– Social media canvassing and management
– Calendar management for senior and executive level directors
– Heavy amount of phone calls to schedule meetings and follow-up on inquiries
Other Duties:
– Minimal regional travel required and out of state travel as needed;
– Ability and willingness to work long hours, including some weekends;
– Offer creative and valuable suggestions to help team members to improve;
– Actively participate in a civic or non-profit organization in your target area;
– Consistently participate and engage in all team meetings and conference calls;
– Assist managing director and/or senior project manager in organizing and hosting seminars/events;
– Join industry related associations. Attend networking events to build new relationships and brand awareness;
Minimum Qualifications:
– A bachelor’s degree preferred;
– Ability to function as part of a team;
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
– Ability to interact respectfully with people of diverse backgrounds and perspectives;
– 1-3 years of previous work experience in customer service or administrative support;
– Ability to take initiative and work as a responsible, self-managed leader, acting without day-to-day supervision;
– Excellent planning, organizational and research skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects;
– Computer savvy and experience with various software systems, a minimum basic working knowledge of Adobe, MS One Note, MS Office, particularly Outlook. Intermediate Excel proficiency and experience with SalesForce, Anymeeting, Constant Contact, NetDocuments and cloud file management preferred.
