(Greensboro, N.C.) November 28, 2011 –Wharton Gladden & Company, boutique investment banking firm, announces today Algenon Cash, has been appointed to new community leadership positions with the Forsyth Tech Foundation Board of Directors and the Winston-Salem Symphony Development Committee.

Sustainable communities require not only economic development, and entrepreneurism, the social fabric must be strong and service is the thread that brings people together.

The Winston-Salem Symphony appointed Cash as a community adviser on their development committee. The mission of the Symphony is to serve the community with exceptional orchestral and choral music experiences while maintaining the highest artistic and fiscal integrity. The committee is responsible for all fundraising activities, individual and corporate grants, and major gifts.

The Forsyth Tech Foundation also appointed Cash to their Board of Directors. He will serve on the investment committee and assist the Foundation and College to maintain a secure endowment. Cash will be helping the Board try to obtain maximum growth of the endowment through investments of funds.

The Foundation administers and manages current and deferred gifts for the college. They also ensure that the gifted funds are precisely used to the donor’s wishes.
